Dialogue and training sessions on transitional justice in Iraq, for the legislative authority and official institutions

Within our organization’s work on Goal 16 of the Sustainable Development Goals, and as part of our work in the enforcement and governance of transitional justice in Iraq. Ufuq Organization for Human Development, in partnership with the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation, held a series of interactive sessions that included dialogues on transitional justice mechanisms, and what has been implemented in Iraq so far, within the three transitional justice tracks.

The workshops were attended by stakeholders, representatives of official institutions, civil society representatives, and experts interested in justice mechanisms in Iraq.

The interactive sessions were concluded by holding training workshops for representatives of the legislative authority and transitional justice institutions on the mechanisms and stages of preparing transitional justice policies in Iraq and maturing this file in a way that achieves social justice, justice for victims, and closing files related to the transitional path.
