The national team begins preparing a strategy for managing diversity in Iraq, with the participation of the Ufuq Organization

The work of the national team charged with preparing an Iraqi national strategy to manage societal diversity in Iraq began on January 19, 2022, when the first session of the official national team in charge was held.
The first session was chaired on behalf of the National Security Adviser by Mr. Saeed Al-Jiashi, the Strategic Affairs Adviser. This session comes as a continuation of the previous preparatory sessions that matured through the preliminary teams for preparing the strategy.
Mr. Ali Bakht Al-Tamimi, President of Ufuq Organization for Development presented the legal and social framework for diversity following the constitution and international mechanisms and its cultural classification. The mission of the team and the map of diversity in Iraq and the analysis of the social environment were discussed in the session. To build the strategy methodology to be prepared as well as its structure under the current Iraqi requirements.
In addition to the Ufuq Organization for Development, the team included representatives of (the Iraqi Parliament, the Office of the Prime Minister, the Presidency of the Republic, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Planning, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the National Intelligence Service, the National Security Agency, the High Commission for Human Rights, the Iraqi Media Network, the Media and Communications Commission, the Endowments offices, the Alliance of Iraqi Minorities).
