Mechanisms for minorities protection in Iraq

As part of the project for the promotion of minorities’ rights in Iraq, Ufuq Organization for Human Development has organized a dialogue session entitled “Mechanisms for the Protection of Minorities Rights in Iraq” at the Palestine International Hotel within the work of the Alliance of Iraqi Minorities Network (AIM) with the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPO)The workshop was attended by representatives of minorities in Iraq and representatives of special religious endowments Minorities and former deputies, activists and representatives of civil society organizations.

Two papers presented by two researchers were discussed on the situation of minorities and the most appropriate mechanisms for protecting their rights.

After that, the door of dialogue was opened on the subject of the session. There were valuable interventions, which were recorded and a paper was prepared with the concepts and outputs that were elaborated during the dialogue.
