A political rights awareness activity, in cooperation with IOM

Within the program (education and awareness of the mechanisms and laws of elections) among the demonstrators, activists, and academics. Ufuq, in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), held a dialogue session on the current election law and the changes that took place in it, and coordinated work to raise awareness among the Iraqi voter.

The meeting included an elite group of protest youth, several academics, where attendees at this session discussed the most important issues related to the demands of the demonstrators, the election law and the law of the High Electoral Commission. We also discussed the importance of informing young people about the best experiences in this field to reach local laws that express their demands. Especially in light of the growing awareness by young people in the process of political participation and participation in decision-making.

It was also agreed with other youth gatherings to hold other dialogue workshops, including sessions in demonstration camps in central and southern Iraq, as part of the organization’s program.
