Ufuq In cooperation with UNDP, workshops are held with local communities

As part of the “Role of Local Communities in Supporting the Law” program, Ufuq Organization for Human Development, in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), held several panel discussions  in the presence of local law enforcement authorities, tribal elders in Sadr City, and human rights activists
The attendees discussed the relationship between the security services and the local communities and reviewed the most important challenges facing the implementation of the law in Sadr City, and the views of tribal elders and sheiks in supporting the security authorities

It also discussed the adoption of a document of honor criminalizing any illegal action directed against the security and academic authorities under the pretext of tribal authority. In addition, the views of members of the security establishment in Sadr City in the application of the law were reviewed.
