Exchange of experiences between Ufuq and a Cambodian institution on transitional justice

The Cambodian Documentation Center held panel discussions on transitional justice in the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh. Mr. Ali Bakht, representing Ufuq, explained the experience of transitional justice in Iraq, and the sessions were attended by a number of transitional justice experts from different countries of the world, such as Morocco, Tunisia, Sudan, Serbia, the United States, and others.

The Cambodian Documentation Center focused its explanation of the Cambodian experience on Cambodia’s achievements in the field of memory preservation. Mr. Bakht also presented the experience of Iraq and focused on the area that Iraq focused on, which is compensation for victims. He also explained the work of the Ufuq Organization in the field of transitional justice and its role in strengthening some of its tracks and filling the shortage due to the almost complete absence of civil society organizations from the field of work in transitional justice.
